Opal Hall

July 24, 1987 — February 27, 2021

Opal Benette Hall (Farmer) entered into rest on Saturday, February 27, 2021.

Born to the late Annette Farmer on July 24, 1987 in Fairfield, Texas. She, like a shooting star, brightened our lives only briefly for 33 years and then traveled on to illuminate distant shores with her mother.

Opal was born in Texas and lived the majority of her life here. Texan pride flowed through her veins. She lived in Minnesota for a time as well exploring the northern beauty with her family. Returning home to Texas she continued to grow and her spunky personality only blossomed with age. She met her high school sweetheart, former husband Chris Hall, they were married and had 3 beautiful children: Gabriel, Lukas and Sarah. They were her joy and her calling.

Opal was a rock caring for her ill mother during her battle with cancer and her kids brought love and light to the home. After her mother passed into the arms of Jesus, Opal (in strong Farmer fashion) rose to the challenge of a new life without her and poured herself into her children. She was very flexible filling all sorts of roles in her work life with forays into banking, bartending and finally baking. She was an exceptionally talented baker making every holiday special with her creations.

She found the love of her life, Dustin Clark and always championed him as her rock. He would say the same of her… she just had a light about her.  She made friends everywhere she went, people were drawn to her huge heart and her acceptance. She loved you exactly the way you are you didn't ever have to put up a front with her. She would see through it if you did anyway. Her quick wit would always find a way to cheer you up no matter the situation. Even when her life changed again and she was given her devastating diagnosis of cancer she would often be the comforter of others. Remaining positive and steadfast in the hardest of situations. She would often be encouraging and cheering you on and supporting you through your own struggles no matter how big or small. Opal was a true friend, confidant and support system to her family. She set such an example of living life to the fullest; you cannot choose your situation but you can choose your reaction to it. God blessed her with a profound strength and stubbornness that carried her through many battles. She did it valiantly and earned her rest.

She is survived by her children Gabriel Hall, Lukas Hall, and Sarah Hall, love Dustin Clark, sister Amanda Williams, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, extended family and loved ones. She loved so hard some friends became like family.

She was preceded in death by her mother Annette Farmer, grandfather Ben Farmer, and granny Wanda Mack whom she shared much of the same spirit with.

Opals life, nor her impact on this world cannot be quantified by words but only felt in the hearts of those who loved her and whom she loved deeply. We can all learn much from her all too short time here. Love like Opal - the world needs it.
