Nathan Norsworthy

Nathan “Tornado” Norsworthy, 65 of La Grange, was born in Columbus, Texas on March 18, 1956 to Vernard and Billie Norsworthy.  He passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021.

Nathan was one of ten children consisting of five brothers and five sisters.  Nathan married the love of his life, Brandy Norsworthy on March 21, 1998 (27 years together) and they had two children, Paige and Lanum.  Nathan was the most loving, kind-hearted man that cherished his friends and family.  Any one that knew him, knew that he was a character that loved to laugh and joke around.  Nathan owned his own business and was very talented in woodwork.  Nathan was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. Nathan will be dearly missed by many.

Nathan is preceded in death by his parents, Vernard and Billie Norsworthy; son, Lanum Norsworthy; brothers, Billy and Virgil Norsworthy; sisters, Donna Ratliff and Lisa Norsworthy.

Nathan is survived by wife, Brandy; step mother, Mary Norsworthy; mother-in-law, Donna Peters Davis; daughter, Paige (Jonathon Base); granddaughter, Farrin Base; son Timmothy Norsworthy brothers, Marty “Rooster” Norsworthy, Leslie Norsworthy (Rose Brunette), David Norsworthy, and Andrew Norsworthy; sisters, Connie Stelter (Craig Schmidt, Branda Rainosek (Elvis), Wendy Spear (Rick); sister-in-law, Natalie Norsworthy; step-sisters, Kim Cason (Jimmy) and Tammy McKenze (Joey); along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Nathan is scheduled for Friday, August 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or stjude.org).
