Katherine Merrell Pereiro of Warrenton passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at her home.  Katherine was born in Palestine, Texas to Leonce and Lillian Smith on April 13, 1930.  She married Richard Pereiro on April 16, 1946 in Houston, Texas.

Katherine was a stay-at-home mom that enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family and friends.  She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Warrenton.  Katherine was known as a wonderful wife and mother of her three sons.

She is preceded in death by her sisters Betty, Dorothy, Mary Ella, Virginia, one brother Johnny and son Ricky.

She is survived by her husband Richard, sister Billy, brother Lonnie, sons Harold and Larry and four generations of grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled on March 7, 2021 from 6-8PM at the Fayette Memorial Home Chapel in La Grange. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11AM on March 8, 2021 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Warrenton with interment to follow at Florida Chapel Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church in Warrenton (4446 S State Highway 237, Round Top, TX 78954), Florida Chapel Cemetery Association or a charity of one’s choice.
