Ethlyn Georgia (Blaha) Michalk, age 95, passed away on September 13, 2019.

Visitation will be held at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home on September 19, 2019 from 12:00-7:00PM with the family present from 5:00-7:00PM. A prayer service will follow.

Funeral Services for Ethlyn will be at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in La Grange on September 20, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at La Grange City Cemetery.

Ethlyn was born January 3, 1924 in Ellinger to John and Anastasia Blaha.  On June 10, 1944 she married Eugene A. Cornett in Rolla, Missouri.  He passed away April 7, 1945 serving in World War II as a staff sergeant infantry. Then on October 3, 1950 Ethlyn married Walter M. Michalk in Houston, Texas.  He passed away on April 24, 1999. She was a Member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. She was involved with the Purple Angels of the hospital auxiliary. She was a member of the Czech Heritage Society. She also volunteered with the Friends of Monument Hill. She loved dancing.

She is survived by stepson Glenn Michalk(wife Judy), daughter Eugenia Cook(husband Jim), daughter Susan Richards(husband Lee), grandchildren: Phillip Hunter(wife Sydna), Angela Dalton, Casey Cook, Shannon Stanford(husband Mason), Wendy Henderson, Scott Michalk(wife Jessica), and Jennifer Anderson. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren with 2 more on the way.

She was preceded in death by first husband Eugene A. Cornett, second husband Walter M. Michalk, sister Eleanora Reiss, and brother Paul Blaha.
