Connie Ozenne Escoyne

July 1, 1963-January 28, 2022

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Teche Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge, LA for Connie Escoyne, 58, who passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. She fought breast cancer for many years and is now healed and with her Savior. Church will open at 10:00am for family and 10:30am for friends, with services at 11:00am.

Connie was a sister, daughter, cousin and friend, but her proudest titles were wife, mom and grandmother. She had what some would call “the gift of gab”. She never met a stranger and would love to share her story with anyone who would listen.

She loved participating in her church’s WMU (Women’s Missionary Union) and any church activities that allowed her to tell others about Jesus. She even had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Guatemala. She had a love for music, having played clarinet in high school and even becoming drum major. In her adult years, she loved singing in church. Her voice will be missed by all who had the pleasure of hearing it.

Connie is survived by her husband of 35 years, Bernard “Boogie”; 3 children, Tiffany, Alex (Brittany), and Shawn, her fur baby Harli and 3 grandchildren, Madison, Makynzie and Meredith; mother Mary Ann Soileau; sister Elizabeth “Beth” (Gary) Morgan; sister-in-law Phyllis Noel; mother-in-law Martha “Marty” Escoyne and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins. She is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Ashley, biological father Wilford Ozenne, father Wilson Noel, stepfather Marion Soileau; brothers Joe and Aaron Noel, mother-in-law Mary Melancon and father-in-law Bernard Escoyne, SR.

In leu of flowers, the family requests a monetary donation be made in honor of Connie to WMU Acadiana.
