Thomas Ray Walters

Mr. Thomas “Tom” Ray Walters, age 59, of Richmond, TX, passed away July 5th, 2025 peacefully in his sleep. Tom lived life to the fullest, always ready to enjoy good food, drinks, people and pets. He was a friendly ear to everyone and loved talking to people from all walks of life. Many of those walks had four legs, as Tom was an avid animal lover that frequently collected donations for local animal shelters. It was common to see him striking up conversations anywhere, from the local dog park, to the grocery store line, and especially from his favorite spot at his local brewery, Fulbrook Ale Works.

Tom's friends all knew him to be the life of the party and as someone who could be relied on always for a good time or a helping hand. His gregarious nature lead him to have a large friend group, many of which shared his love of music (particularly the blues and heavy metal), as well as his love of good whiskey and tea in all its forms. To Tom, his friends were also his family and he could always be relied on for a sympathetic ear or a helping hand. He especially loved enjoying good times with them in Ingram, TX, a favorite camping spot for decades.

Tom is survived by Lori Brugier Walters, his wife of 28 years, as well as his daughter Taylor and his son Jake. His surviving siblings include his brother Johnny, his wife April and their son Randy, his brother Terry, his wife Kate and their son Zach, his brother Jerry, as well as his brother in law David Jablonski and his daughter Rebecca. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Judith Walters, and his sister Angela Jablonski.
