Terry Lee Frazee

Terry Frazee, 79, of Staunton, Virginia (formerly of La Grange) passed away on October 3, 2023
after suffering with renal cell carcinoma and Parkinson’s Disease.


A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on October 30, 2023 at Queen of Angels Chapel in
Spicewood, Texas. He will be buried in Williams Creek Cemetery near La Grange, Texas.


Terry was the second son of Francis B. Frazee II and Josephine (Rautenstrauch) Frazee born on
November 27, 1943 in Jackson, Mississippi. The family moved to Austin in 1950 where Terry
fully expected to see cowboys riding the range. He attended St. Ignatius Elementary school and
remembered Sister Mary Stella throughout his life. He graduated from St. Edwards High School
and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.


He began his career in the oil and gas industry in Houston and later established an accounting
and bookkeeping firm in La Grange, TX. His firm “Schneider, Frazee and Matocha” still serves
the client needs of Fayette and surrounding Counties. Terry had multiple business interest
throughout his career. He raised Angus cattle, owned a hotel and radio station, owned and
operated a motel. Terry was a principled man of integrity; beloved by many.


Terry loved playing bridge throughout his life having learned to play from his mother at a very
early age. Very important to him was his weekly participation in a Men’s Bible Study at Queen
of Angels Chapel that enriched his personal and spiritual life. Five years ago, he moved to
Staunton, Virginia to escape the Texas heat and enjoy the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.


Terry is survived by his wife, Mary, his children, daughter Melissa and son Michael Frazee and wife Kim, two brothers and
two sister, Bill Frazee (Cele), Alan Frazee (Stephanie), Gwen Krauss (Henry), and Katie Cole. His
four grandchildren are Bryson, Matthew, Lauren and Zachary Frazee. Terry was predeceased by
his wife, Zora.
