Susan Virginia Brandt Madison, 73 of La Grange, Texas passed away peacefully at home on June 19, 2026.

Susan was born on December 30, 1952 in Weimar, Texas to Hubert and Virginia Brandt.

Susan will be well remembered for her beautifully crocheted blankets. If you had the pleasure of receiving one, you had a special place in her heart. She will also be remembered for her luscious green thumb. She took pride and joy in her patio, garden and flower beds which were admired by all who visited.

Susan is survived by her daughter and son in law, Stacey and Danny Olenick, from La Grange, her 2 granddaughters Jacey Olenick, from La Grange and Jamey Olenick and her fiancée Zach Adams from Lufkin Texas. Her sister Beth Brown and husband Mark from La Grange, her sister Lisa Primrose and husband Charles, from College Station, and brother Brad Brandt from Burnet, Texas. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins also survive. She is also survived by her beloved cat Hank.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Randy Madison.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 24th from 4-7pm at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 25th at 2 pm and the Brandt Family Cemetery in Holman Texas.
