Roderic Brian Coleman was born on May 13, 1956, in Bisbee, Arizona, and went home to be with the Lord on April 10, 2026, in La Grange, Texas.

He was a man of deep faith, strong character, and a heart full of love for his family. He lived his life trusting God, loving people well, and always doing his best to make sure those around him were cared for and never burdened.

Roderic proudly served his country in the United States Marines before following his calling to become a Funeral Director, Mortician and Director of Memorial Design & Services. In that role, he didn’t just do a job. He ministered to people in their hardest moments, offering comfort, compassion, and peace when it was needed most.

Beyond his work, he was a creative soul. He loved writing books, poetry, and songs. Music was always a part of who he was. More than anything, though, he loved his family. His children, grandchildren, and his siblings were the center of his world.

He is survived by his children, Catherine Capps Warren (husband Randy Warren), Christy Gatlin (husband Rod Gatlin), and Alan Coleman (wife Vanna Coleman), along with their mother, Dolores Coleman Harris(and her family). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Dalton, Chandler, Aaron, Tahlia, Briele, Jai, Easton, Hayden, Lively, Brayden, Jackson, and Addi. He is also survived by his siblings Debbie Davis (husband Larry Davis), Connie Coleman, and Scott Coleman (wife Bunny Coleman)and their children.

Roderic leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and strength. While our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing he is now with Jesus; happy, free, whole, and at rest. The same God he trusted in life has now welcomed him home.

He taught us to keep going, to stay strong, and to keep God in our hearts. And even in the middle of our grief, we hear his voice reminding us not to sit in sadness, but to live, love, and take care of one another.

Until we meet again in Heaven… we love you, Dad.

“SO ALSO YOU HAVE SORROW NOW, BUT I WILL SEE YOU AGAIN AND YOUR HEARTS WILL REJOICE, AND NO ONE WILL TAKE AWAY YOUR JOY.”

- JOHN 16:22
