Olin E. Dittmar passed away on Sunday June 28, 2009. He was born on January 27, 1921 to Ernest and Hulda Denker Dittmar in Milam County. He grew up in the Cat Spring Texas. Olin married Emma “Lollie” Tiedt on March 15, 1973 at St John Lutheran Church in Warrenton, Texas.

Olin was a member of St John Lutheran Church in Warrenton, he was also a member of the Round Top-Warrenton Volunteer Fire Department, Shelby Sons of Herman, Shelby American Legion. He also served with the Cat Spring Agriculture Society Hall and the Red and White Polka Club. Olin retired from the ARCO refinery in Houston in 1976 after 32 years of service.

Olin Dittmar is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a step son, a step daughter and a nephew.

Olin is survived by his wife Emma “Lollie” Dittmar. Step Children Larry Tiedt and wife Lucille of Tomball, Doris Glenn and friend Wes Wittenborn of Spring, Becky Kunkel and husband Ronnie of Warrenton. 11 Step Grandchildren, 9 Step Great Grandchildren, 2 Step Great Great Grandchildren, 2 Nieces, and 1 Sister-In-Law.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday June 30,2009 from 8:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on July 1, 2009 at St John Lutheran Church in Warrenton, Texas.

Internment will follow at the Florida Chapel Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St John Lutheran Church, Round Top-Warrenton VFD, or in lieu of flowers.
