Marion Gene Lueders, Sr. (80) a son of La Grange, TX passed peacefully from this life to the next on February 16, 2018. The family history in La Grange dates back to the 1700’s, and as his ancestors before him, Mr. Lueders lived a life dedicated to serving God, country and community. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at the age of 11, and his lifelong love of God embraced the lives of so many over the decades he gave service as a travelling Evangelist and pastor. He was a U.S. Marine, a local contractor, and devout family man. Together with his predeceased wife Mary, he also owned the Cornerstone Bookstore and Piano Studio in town.

His engaging smile and positive life force will be lovingly remembered by a son, daughter, 3 brothers, sister and many grandchildren. His ashes will be laid to rest in the Lueders plot, and a graveside memorial service is scheduled for March 17, 2018 at the Williams Creek Cemetery in La Grange at 11:00 AM.
