Marian Louise Krivanich 90 of La Grange passed away on Friday November 19, 2010.

Our mother Marian Louise Hanson Krivanich was born in Omaha, Nebraska on March 21, 1920 on a beautiful spring Sunday to Munnie and Minnie Hanson. She married Michael Allowyn Krivanich in 1945 and bore two daughters - Margie Collier McKee and Marilyn Leeburg Thompson and husband Jack.

Marian was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren - Kirsta Lynn Melton, Kylla Dawn Leeburg, Kendis Kay Paris, Karin Janelle Larson, Joshua Allowyn Collier, Jodi Adelle Osgood, and Megan Albany Collier. The grand children’s marriages have resulted in seven great grand children, five loving grand son-in-laws and one beautiful grand-daughter-in-law. She is also survived by two nephews and one niece.

She was a budget analyst with the United States Government for 30 years. She began her career at Ft. Bliss, Texas. During her tenure with the government, she relocated to Karlsruhe, Germany and became the Chief Budget Analyst for the United States European School system during 1975 - 1978. Subsequently, she was meritoriously awarded for her job performance by the U.S. Government.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, her parents, two brothers, and Marilyn’s first husband, Ken Leeburg.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday November 22, 2010 from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in La Grange.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday November 23, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Second Baptist Church in La Grange.

Internment will follow Monday November 29, 2010 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery of San Antonio Texas.

Memorial contributions may be made to Second Baptist Church of La Grange.
