Margaret Burton

Margaret Burton, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on April 12,
2023, at the age of 92 in La Grange, Texas. She had lived a long and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy
of love, kindness, and selflessness.

Margaret was born on September 30, 1930, in Whitesboro, New York to Vincent and Clarissa (Kipers)
Coyne. She graduated from Whitesboro Central High School and attended Utica School of Commerce.
Margaret married her beloved George Wilburt Burton, Jr. on November 22, 1958. Together, they had 4
children: Robert, Brian, Barbara, and George. They were married for almost 40 years before George's
passing in 1998.

Margaret worked for many years at Frisch Auf Valley Country Club, where she made many lifelong
friends and became a cherished member of the community. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing
cards. She was always eager to connect with people and made friends wherever she went. Her family
meant everything to her, and she loved every moment she spent with them. She also enjoyed
volunteering at the hospital, where she selflessly gave her time to help others.

Margaret is survived by her brother Vince Coyne of Whitesboro, New York, who she admired. She is also
survived by her four children, twelve grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, all of whom she
adored.

Margaret will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She lived a full and meaningful life, and her legacy
of love and kindness will continue to inspire future generations. Margaret's memory will live on in the
hearts of her family and friends forever.

A private family service will be held on June 10, 2023, in La Grange, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family
asks that donations be made in Margaret's honor to Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in
Hostyn, Texas.
