Mabel Schielack

Mabel passed away at her home on September 11, 2017.

Mabel Ruth (Niemeyer) Schielack of Park Community, Fayetteville, Texas was born on May 26, 1927 in Fayette County.  She was the daughter of Edwin and Helen (Koenig) Niemeyer.  On April 9, 1949, she married Jesse L. Schielack in Atlanta, Georgia.  Jesse was stationed there while serving in the US Army.  She worked for Nieman Marcus and Pinemont Bank in Houston.

Mabel was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville.  She belonged to the Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters.

Mabel is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jesse, granddaughter Jessica Leigh Schielack, sister Shirley Hubenak and husband Jerry, sisters in law Ruth Ann Niemeyer, and Agnes Niemeyer, father in law Ben Schielack and wife Elenora (Foyt) Schielack, brothers and sisters in law Bennie and Bettie Schielack, Edward and Irene Schielack, Barbara Schielack, Margie Schielack, and Leon Berger, and niece Darlene Hubenak.

Survivors include her son Bruce Wayne Schielack and wife Donna, granddaughter Cilka Rae Stout and husband Trey, great granddaughters Baylee and Paisley, brothers Herbert, John, Melvin and wife Liz., sister in law Ruby Berger, brothers in law Weldon Schielack, Jim Schielack, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Memorials can be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville or a charity of choice.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville.

Funeral services 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville, with Father Nock presiding.  Interment will follow at  the La Grange City Cemetery.
