Lydia Viola Bertha Hartfiel Oeser, age 87, passed away on December 17, 2008 at St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange, Texas.
She was born on February 3, 1921 to parents, William and Helen Hartfiel who resided in Colorado County.
She married Anton G. Oeser on June 24, 1951 at Frelsburg Trinity Lutheran Church.
Lydia Viola Bertha Hartfiel Oeser is survived by one son, Leland Oeser of La Grange and one sister, Olga Foster of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Helen Hartfiel, her husband, Anton G. Oeser and one daughter, Helen Ann Oeser.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 19, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at the Waldeck Lutheran Church in Waldeck. The Reverend Willie Rotter will officiate at the service. Interment will be in the Waldeck Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Waldeck Lutheran Church Building Fund.
