Luther Berry Bass (Rookie) passed away on September 24, 2009. Luther was born on August 6,1951 to L.B. and Althea Bass in Lufkin.
Luther was a warm and loving husband and father, who loved music and dancing.
Luther was an established welder who could fabricate and construct almost anything out of metal and really enjoyed his work.
Luther was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Luther is survived by his wife Robbin Bass of Warrenton, a son Lexie Brian Bass of Houston, sister Robin Emily Bass of Houston, five brothers and sisters-in-law along with numerous neices and nephews.
Luther is preceded in death by his parents L.B. and Althea Bass.
The family would like to acknowledge a special Thank You to Hospice Brazos Valley for their kindness during Luther's illness.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday September 26, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home.
Services are scheduled for Sunday September 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow at the Florida Chapel Cemetery in Round Top.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hospice Brazos Valley,or in lieu of flowers.
