Jason Randall Nigh was born January 10, 1979 in Carrizo Springs to Danny Thomas Nigh and Jeanne Frederick (Nigh) Haas. He married Tiffany Chovanec Nigh on October 11, 2003 at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Fayetteville. He was a father to one daughter and three sons.
Jason loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He worked as a plumber for many years and for the City of La Grange as the City Inspector for almost 3 years prior to his passing. He was a previous member of the Ellinger Volunteer Fire Department, leader of Pack 204 Cub Scouts, and he coached his children in Little League. Jason was a wonderful father and loved his children dearly. He will be missed by many.
Jason is survived by his wife, Tiffany Nigh; children, Hannah McDermott and husband Josiah of Del Rio; three sons, Jacob Benton Nigh (12), Joshua Leonard Nigh (8), Joseph Thomas Nigh (5); father, Dan Nigh an wife, Sandy; grandmother, Lois Nigh; siblings, Dana Martin (Brandon Lively), Justin Nigh, Elizabeth Rinck (Casey), Ross Nigh (Kristen); step brother, Jim Bishop (Heather); sister-in-law, Brandi Chovanec; in-laws, Ben and Anna Chovanec; along with numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jason is preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne Haas (August 14, 2015); maternal grandparents, Paul and Barbara Frederick; uncle, David Frederick; paternal grandfather, Felix Nigh; cousin, Greg Samuel and an infant daughter.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter or the Ellinger Volunteer Fire Department.
