Janice Irene Parks, 80, of La Grange passed away on Thursday February 8, 2018 in Austin. Janice was born on August 30, 1937 in Greenwood, SC to Toliver and Sue (Maye) Cox. She was the youngest of two children. Janice and her brother Phillip were raised by their grandmother in Greenwood, SC after their father died at the age of 21 just before Janice was born. She moved to Houston in 1960 where she worked, married and raised her son Randall, daughter Sandra and granddaughter Brandie. In 1973, Janice met her second husband Chris Dollman. They worked and lived in several states before Janice retired in La Grange in 1999 where she volunteered at St. Marks Medical Center. Janice was an amazing and caring person, she was loved and respected by all who knew her.

Janice is survived by her children, grandchildren and ex-husband Chris and close friend Karen Richey. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and brother.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions or donations be made to St Marks Medical Center or charity of choice.
