James Kollaja

A Memorial service for James Emil Kollaja, 75, of Fayetteville will be held Monday, August 6, 2018 in the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

James was born September 8, 1942 in La Grange, Texas to Emil and Annie Srubar Kollaja. James served his country in the U.S. Army as a military policeman at Ft. Benning, Georgia. He was later employed as a dragline operator and a foreman by Ideal Basic Industries. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Fayetteville.

James was a passionate hunter and outdoorsman, he loved just sitting by the creek and enjoying nature.

James is survived by 1 brother-inlaw; Emil Poncik of Stafford, Texas,  5 nephews, 1 niece and numerous great nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters; Georgia A. Kollaja and Alice Mae Chernosky.
