Ira Nell McCoy, age 67, passed away on March 4, 2009. She was born on August 3, 1941 to parents Nelson F. Noak and Irene (Goehring) Noak of Round Top.
Ira Nell McCoy retired from AT & T and also worked for Care Inn of La Grange. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Richard McCoy of La Grange; her mother, Irene Noak of La Grange; one son, Randal Schneider of Muldoon; one daughter, Beverly Hollis and her husband Bobby of Cypress; three brothers, Nelson Noak Jr. of Danbury, Wayne Noak and his wife Sherry of La Grange and David Noak and his wife Mary of La Grange along with two grandsons, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
Ira Nell McCoy was preceded in death by her father Nelson F. Noak; one grandson Keith Gilbert and one sister-in-law Shirley Noak.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 6, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Rutersville, Texas. Reverend Glenn Hohlt will officiate at the service. Interment will be in the Florida Chapel Cemetery near Round Top, Texas.
Memorials may be made to the St. John Building Fund.
