Helen Ruth Kaiser passed away April 24, 2022. Funeral services are scheduled for May 2, 2022 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda starting at 10:00 AM with interment to follow at the church cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Helen Ruth Kaiser was born on December 10, 1930 to Robert and Minnie (Lorenz) Bohot in Warda, Texas. She married the love of her life, Edward, on December 26, 1948 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church and later had two children, John and Dawn. In fact, she was baptized, confirmed, married, and now celebrating her life at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Helen was an active member of her church where she served as the church secretary for 20 years and later as a volunteer at Peace Lutheran Church of Galena Park, Tx. After retirement, Helen and Edward headed to the farm and began another chapter. They loved their trips to Branson and they often took the grandchildren on trips during spring break and summer vacations, including many trips to McDonald’s. She enjoyed golf cart rides around their property, domino game nights with friends, and creating lasting memories and stories for her family. Mostly Helen will be remembered for her love for her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Helen will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Helen is survived by her children; John Kaiser of Houston / Warda and Dawn VandeKamp of Houston; brother, Alfred Bohot; sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and J.C. Kaiser; grandchildren, Monica McClintock (Ryan), Mallory Peck (Brandon), Ashley Mitchell (Mark); great grandchildren, Faith McClintock, Reid McClintock, Makenzie Mitchell, baby Peck due in June, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Minnie Bohot; husband of 67 years, Edward York Kaiser; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Leslie Giese; infant brother, Walter Bohot; infant sister, Ruby Bohot; and sister-in-law, Ruby Bohot.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda, Faith Lutheran High School in Warda or to Hospice Brazos Valley.
