Gladys Ickert Schaefer was born on September 13, 1920 the daughter of Robert and Gladys (Palmer) Breeden. She lived in the city of La Grange. She was a member of AARP, American Legion, Hermann Sons # 238 and Altar Guard of the church.
She is survived by one son, Larry Ickert and his wife Janet of Austin; one sister, Estela Hand of Lakepoint, California; one granddaughter, Larissa Ickert of Houston; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving neighbors and friends.
Gladys Ickert Schaefer was preceded in death by her husbands, Herbert Ickert and Walter Schaefer; and her parents, Robert Breeden and Gladys (Palmer) Breeden.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at Prairie Valley with the Reverend Herb Beyer officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at Prairie Valley.
