Georgia Maria Hajek Denton
September 10, 1937 – June 30, 2020
Georgia Maria Hajek Denton was born on September 10, 1937 in Plum, Texas. She graduated from La Grange High School in 1956 and then attended Durham Business College in Austin, Texas.
To know Georgia, was to love her. Georgia owned Frank’s Café on the square for many years. Cooking was her passion feeding and visiting with patrons, you were never a stranger at Frank’s. Upon retiring in the café business, she was employed by Weikel’s Bakery with Jim and Philip becoming her second family. Her energy, love of laughter and life will always be remembered by all who were lucky enough to be touched by her.
Georgia was the daughter of August and Mary (Supak) Hajek. She is survived by one son, Rick Denton and wife Tracy of West Point, brother Billy Hajek and wife Bobbie Jean of Winchester, brother Bobby Hajek and wife Nancy of La Grange, one sister Cindy Fletcher of West Point and grandchildren Steven Denton and wife Teresa of Dallas and Katie Denton of Katy. She had three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Wayne Fletcher.
Friends visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 10, 2020 from 4-7PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home. The family asks that visitors be conscientious of the COVID-19 pandemic and to please wear a mask while visiting. A private, family memorial will be scheduled at a later date. Donations can be made at St. Peter Paul Catholic Church Altar Society or Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter.
