Fidensio Raymond Villanueva, age 83, passed away on March 27, 2009 at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin. He was born on November 16, 1925 to parents Porfirio Torres and Dolores Maria (Rivera) Villanueva of Flatonia, Texas.

He was a retired construction and field worker. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Fidensio Raymond Villanueva is survived by six daughters, Dominga Villanueva Rosales of Needville, Candelaria (Mary) Villanueva Soto and her husband Lionso of Bastrop, Anita (Annie) Villanueva of La Grange, Isadora Villanueva of Bastrop, San Juanita (Janie) Villanueva Arreguin and her husband Paul of Lockhart and Celia Villanueva Foerster and her husband Gary of Giddings; two sons, Ramon Villanueva of La Grange and Leroy Villanueva and his wife Stell of Richmond; eight sisters, Catarina V. Mireles, Theodora V. Tobar, Frances V. Quentero, Julia V. Garcia, Bonnie V. Perez, Betty V. Quentero, Ascencion V. Morales and Juanita V. Herrera; one brother, Martin Villanueva along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Gospel Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in La Grange, Texas

Interment will be in the La Grange City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
