Evelyn Krenek

A visitation for Evelyn Marie Krenek is scheduled for August 12, 2025 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive guests from 4 p.m. – 6p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 6 p.m. Graveside services will be held at St. John Catholic Cemetery on August 13, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.

Evelyn age 72, went to be with her Lord on August 7, 2025 while at her home in Fayetteville, Texas. She was born on September 20, 1952 in La Grange, Texas to parents, Grace (Rosanky) Carrillo and George Malek.

After high school, Evelyn married the love of her life, Frank J. Krenek, III on September 11, 1971 at St. John Catholic Church in Fayetteville. They later had three children; Amanda, Robin and Doug. Mostly, Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family, but she also enjoyed cooking, gardening and feeding her birds. She also enjoyed her two adopted cats, Pumpkin and Junior. She will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved her.

Evelyn is survived by her mother Grace Carillo of Navasota; husband of nearly 54 years, Frank J. Krenek, III.; children Robin Sklar and husband Ryan of Fayetteville, Doug Krenek and wife Erin of Katy; brothers, Robert Malek and wife Pam of Navasota and Rudy Malek and wife Kathy of Sealy; and three grandchildren, Logan and Reagan Sklar and Colin Krenek along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Dawn (Krenek) Sklar; father, George Malek and sister, Ellie Williams.
