Esther Anna Donsbach, age 94, passed away on August 28, 2017 in Tomball. She was born to Bernard and Martha Symmank Nowotnik on June 17, 1923 in Lee County.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. Interment will follow in the La Grange City Cemetery.
Esther was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham. She worked as a secretary at The VA Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Esther was baptized July 15, 1923 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Manheim, Texas by Pastor, C.W. Rische and confirmed March 21, 1937 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church by pastor, A.O. Kaltwasser.
She married Reinhold John Donsbach on January 19, 1946 at St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Santa Rosa, California. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2000.
She is survived by 1 sister-in-law; Kitty Nowotnik and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, brothers John Nowotnik and Henry Nowotnik; sisters Bertha Orts, Selma Spaeth, and Frieda Zuhn; and nephews Dennis Nowotnik and John Wayne Nowotnik.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham, Texas or the charity of one’s choice.
