IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Emmi
Stevens
June 28, 2004 – December 24, 2025
Makayla Elaine Stevens, affectionately known as Emmi, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2025, in New Braunfels, Texas. Born on June 28, 2004, in Webster, Texas, Emmi graced the world with her loving personality and beautiful spirit.
Emmi was a member of the First Baptist Church of La Grange where she enjoyed her time in the youth group, at camp, and on missions. Her interests were diverse and reflected her creative nature; she had a deep passion for crafting, focusing on making jewelry, and she spent countless hours immersed in true crime podcasts. Emmi was involved in many activities as a youth: including swim team, volleyball, cheerleading and dance. An avid thrifting enthusiast, she was always on the lookout for vintage clothes and accessories, which cultivated her wonderfully, unique fashion sense. She spent countless hours at the Second Chance thrift store in La Grange and would always come home with large hauls to model for her family. Emmi was also very artistic and loved to sketch, paint and spend time at art museums. Emmi loved her family; she cherished her time with her beloved family dog, Jazz, and was known to radiate joy while surrounded by her family, cousins and friends. Her warmth and cheerful nature left an indelible mark on those who had the pleasure to know her.
Emmi is survived by her loving parents, Mike and Melissa Stevens; born to Geanine Borg; her brother, Josh Stevens and his wife Annie; and her sisters, Lulu Stevens and Kristina Borg; Grandparents Mike and Lois Stevens (Pop Pop and Nana); Aunt Tami Arteaga and family, Uncle Shane Stevens and family, and Uncle Marty Ginn and family. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Kathy Ginn. The memories Emmi leaves behind will be cherished by all who knew her, and she will forever be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and the love she shared so generously with her family and friends.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Serenity Star Recovery (https://www.serenitystar.org).
