Elsie Mae Kelley

Elsie Mae Kelley, 90 of Alleyton, passed away on May 18, 2024 in Eagle Lake, Texas.  A memorial service is scheduled for June 15, 2024 at The First Baptist Church in Columbus beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Elsie was born in Weimar, Texas on July 18, 1933 to Adolf Karstedt and Christina (Fojtik) Karstedt.  She spent most of her time as a homemaker and mother to her children Larry (deceased), Mary, Barbara and Sharon.  She enjoyed puzzles and especially enjoyed her pets, Shar-Pei Ellie and Tabby cat Hopie.  Elsie will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Elsie Kelley is survived by her daughters, Mary Semora of Eagle Lake, Barbara (Jimmie) Class of Bernardo, and Sharon Alley (John) of Alleyton; sister, Clara Riggins (Larry) of Cut and Shoot; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Marvin Lee Kelley; her parents, Adolf and Christina Karstedt; son, Larry Holland; son-in-law, Bobby Joe Semora; sisters, Minnie (Gene) Bell, Frances Frybert and brother, Leo (Mildred) Karstedt.
