Edna Elizabeth Baggerly, born February 15, 1924, died May 22, 2018

Edna was the oldest of 10 children born to Arthur Allen and Pearl Stiles Baggerly in Plainfield, New Jersey. The family moved to Pennsylvania when she was young and she attended school there. Her love of education led her to and undergraduate degree in Education from Adelphi University on Long Island, NY and she then went on to earn her Master's degree and do Doctoral work at Columbia University in New York City. She taught elementary school for many years and then trained as a reading specialist and helped many students decipher the written word.

She was extremely proud of her family and encouraged them to follow their dreams. She was so proud that they all graduated from college.

Edna was passionate about genealogy and an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the French and Indian Wars, and Daughters of the Mayflower. She attended the First Presbyterian Church of La Grange.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold E. Schultze, brothers Howard, Allen, and George Baggerly, and sisters Ruth Baggerly Daniels, and Rosemary Baggerly.

She leaves behind her son, Richard W. Schultze and wife Heidi Schultze, her daughter Janet Parker and husband Loren (Buzz) Parker all of La Grange. Her beloved grandchildren are Christine Brown and husband John Mark Brown of Hallettesville, Jennifer Ferrante and husband Tony Ferrante of Austin, and David Schultze of San Antonio, great granddaughters Regan, and Rebecca Brown, and Kyla and Claire Ferrante. She is also survived by her brothers, John Baggerly and wife Ruth, Paul Baggerly, and sisters Ersa May Rae, and Helen White. Her nieces and nephews are too numerous to name here but she loved them all.

The family plans a celebration of her life on June 23, 2018 at 1:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church of La Grange followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, any donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of La Grange, Texas.
