Services for Dorothy Marie (Trlicek) Shew, 87, of La Grange, are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange, Texas, with Pastor Jason Kasper officiating. Interment will follow at La Grange City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2024, also at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home. Dorothy passed away February 29, 2024, in La Grange, Texas.

Dorothy was born June 20, 1936, to John Trlicek and Elenora Valentine (Woellert) Trlicek in Mentz, Texas. She worked for Korts Korner for many years and loved serving her customers. She will forever be remembered as the wonderful women she was in this life. Dorothy was not someone who would shy away from helping someone or even an animal in need. She was not a woman who asked for a lot in this life and lived by faith. She loved her family and friends who held a special place in her heart.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Pam and her two children Dylan Fritts, Brooklyn Lewis and significant other Garrett Kallus and their daughter Tinlee. Son, Daryl Shew, and his daughter Angela and her husband Scott Plattsmeir and their son Porter. Daughter, Tammy Oliverez, and her husband Bo and their three sons Bryan, Brendon, and Blake, nephew Todd Trlicek, and wife Mekisha and his children Brandon, Taylor, Tiffani, and Gracie. Shannon Mabry Trlicek. Nephew, John Christopher Skinner, and significant other Kathy D. Lynch; niece Tracey Trlicek-Thompson and her two children Jordon and husband Anthony Ramirez and their daughter, Gabriella and J.P. Thompson and his two daughters Jeylah and Jamasyn. Kim and Jim Martin and their children Jessica Drab and her husband Dustin and their daughter Emmy. Laurn Matocha and her husband Noah and their son TJ. Johnny Fritts and family. James Lewis and family.

Preceding Dorothy in death were her parents John & Ella Trlicek; sister Agnes Skinner; and brothers Johnny and Jimmy "Butch" Trlicek
