Donald Lee Golleher was born on September 7, 1933 to parents James Calvin Golleher and Cornye (Webb) Golleher in Plainview, Texas.
He married Sophronia (Meinardus) Golleher on April 5, 1952 in La Grange. Donald Lee Golleher served his country by being a member of the United States Army. He served overseas during this time in Korea and in Okinawa.
Donald Lee Golleher worked as a Automotive Instructor for General Motors for 26 years. He was a long time member of the Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club. Donald enjoyed palying golf with his buddies and fishing.
Donald Lee Golleher, 74, passed away on May 2, 2008 in La Grange. Memorial services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matthew Diehl officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are Beau Aplin, Cole Aplin, Willie Meinardus, Willie McKenzie, Elmond Meinardus, Dr. E. L. Fitzpatrick, Bobby Dube and Jim Bob Dube.
Donald Lee Golleher is survived by his wife, Sophronia Golleher, one son, Donald Golleher Jr. of La Grange; one daughter, Kelley Bettis of Houston; one sister, Bonnie Dube and her husband Bobby Dube of Round Top.
His four grandchildren, Justin Golleher, Beau Aplin, Cole Aplin, and Jett Bettis all of Houston also survives. Donald Lee Golleher is survived by brothers-in-law, Willie Meinardus and Elmond Meinardus; a sister-in-law, Felicia Chovanec and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Donna Gail Golleher, his parents and one brother James Robert Golleher
