Dollie Matilda Hess, age 91, of La Grange passed away on October 1, 2008. She was born on October 1, 1917 to parents, James J. Hazelwood and Molly Bell (Hatfield) Hazelwood of West Point.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends.
Dollie Matilda Hess is survived by her son, Jerry Hess and his wife, Patsy of La Grange; two grandsons, Jared Hess and his wife, Ashley of La Grange and Nathan Hess and his wife, Hailey of La Grange; one great-grandson, Hayden Skye Hess and former granddaughter-in-law, Rebecca Diaz Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hughie Hess; one son, James Hugh Hess and one brother and one sister.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening. The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in La Grange. Reverend Mel Hazlewood will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the James Hugh Hess Memorial Scholarship Fund at the La Grange High School.
