Darlene Fay Weyand, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, in La Grange, Texas, at the age of 75. Born on September 24, 1950, in Giddings, Texas, she lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Darlene graduated from Burton High School. Throughout her life, she was known for her fun-loving nature and her caring approach to those around her. Darlene had an unwavering love for her family, taking immense pride in her role as a devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her sons Eric (Kristi) Weyand and Deric (Katy) Weyand, along with her precious grandchildren Madison, Karly, and Carter.
In addition to her family, Darlene nurtured strong bonds with her siblings, including her twin sister Charlene (Charles) Mueller and her brother Glenn Treude. She was grateful for the supportive presence of her sisters-in-law, Waldine Garlin and Darlene (Berrie) Etzel.
Darlene's talents were many. She took great pride in her quilting and gardening. Her love for animals was evident, and she kept her home warm and inviting with her dedicated cleaning and care.
Darlene is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, ElGene Weyand, her parents, Edwin Treude and Elfrieda (Hinze) Treude, her mother and father-in-law, Ollie and Nelda Weyand, her sister-in-law Joy Treude, and her brother-in-law Delbert Garlin. They are all reunited now, watching over their beloved family.
Darlene Fay Weyand will forever be remembered for her loving heart and an unwavering love that will continue to inspire those she touched along her journey.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Rutersville or to Hospice Brazos Valley.
