Clifton Becker

September 15, 1934 — May 6, 2017

Clifton August William Becker passed away on May 6, 2017 at his home in La Grange. Clifton was born on September 15, 1934 in Bachelors Hill, Texas to Arthur Leo Becker and Nola Emma Stalbaum. He was a retired master plumber. He served his country in the United States Army. He was married to Estella Anna Von Minden who preceded him in death. His greatest passion was a love of gardening and giving away what he grew. His last hobby was running the saw mill and woodworking projects. Every weekend was a new project that had to be worked on. He never finished all the things that he planned. He raised goats, cattle and chickens. Every person he met was a new friend. He and his dog Missy loved riding the golf cart around the neighborhood and talking to everyone they saw.

He is survived by one daughter; Kay Anna Becker Pagel and husband Randy Lee Pagel; one brother, Arthur Becker and wife Constance; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Kay Wells Becker; two sisters, Lillian Cain and Becky Wilburn; three grandchildren, Jonathan Lawrence and wife Alec, Jeremy Becker and Sarah Butler and husband Chris; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents; his son, Ronald William Becker; two sisters, Irene Wennenweser and her husband Max and Earline Blackburn and her husband William and one brother-in-law, Warren E. Wilburn.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday May 13, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.
