Carrie Mae Reed, age 96, of West Point, passed away on August 25, 2011 at her home in West Point.
Carrie was born on May 23, 1915 on the Wetjen farm near West Point. She was a housekeeper and a member of the Muldoon Baptist Church. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting.
She is survived by a brother, Leroy B. Wetjen and wife Pearly; sister-in-law, Maria Wetjen; nephews, John B. Wetjen and wife Linda, Gilbert “Sam” Wetjen and wife Barbara, David Wetjen and wife Donna; nieces, Joan Ivy and husband James, Jan Anderson and husband Jarvis, Judy Jordan and husband Kendall, Doris Warren and husband Willie, Charleen Davis, Catherine Mace and husband Fred and Patty Keaton and husband John; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday August 26, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday August 27, 2011, at 10:30 AM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Burial will follow at Pitman Cemetery in Muldoon.
