A Mass for Carlo Triolo is scheduled for May 10, 2025 at noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange, Texas with Father Chris Smith officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. The family invites guests to a luncheon following the Mass at the church fellowship hall.
Carlo Alexander Triolo, the oldest of 8 children, was born in Houston, Texas on January 10, 1936 to Joseph Ross Triolo and Clara Etta (Gauthier) Triolo. He grew up in Houston and graduated from St. Thomas High School. He joined the Marines where he honorably served his country in the Korean War for almost 7 years, receiving the rank of Sergeant. He married his wife, Bonnie, of 67 years on February 1, 1958 at All Saints Catholic Church in Houston and they were blessed with two daughters.
After the Marines, Carlo became an apprentice for a printing company and eventually bought the business and renamed it Universal Printing Co. which he owned for over 30 years. His wife Bonnie worked with him for 23 of the 30 years. Carlo and Bonnie bought property in Fayette County in 1979 as a weekend place and they eventually called it home after their retirement in 1994. Although he grew up in the city, Carlo was self-taught in the ways of country life. He learned to maintain acreage along with cattle, etc. He really enjoyed the outdoors, riding his tractor, hunting, fishing, bowling, playing dominoes and poker. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus (3rd Degree) and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Carlo mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He looked forward to and enjoyed the “Day in the Country” which they hosted annually. Carlo was a people person - he enjoyed people and people enjoyed him. He was a kind and sweet man with an infectious smile. He always loved being around his family. Carlo will be dearly missed by not only his family, but dear friends as well. “You know what I mean!”
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Linette Schneider and husband, Jeff and Julia Garza and her husband, John all of Sugar Land; grandchildren, Catherine Traub, Carl Schneider, and JC Garza; brothers, Joe Triolo (Pat), David Triola (Anne), Myron Triolo (Linda) and Don Triola (Tricia); sisters, Leonora McKenna and Suzy Stone; brother-in-law, Ken Beaman; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Carlo is preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Clinton and Julia Beaman; brother, Alex Triola; brothers-in-law, Arthur McKenna, Andy Stone and Dwight Beaman; sister-in-law, Patricia Beaman; and nephews, Jeffrey Triolo and John Triolo.
