Cara Crisler was born on January 8, 1981 to parents Donald Crisler and Lynn (Sherrill) Douglas. She worked as a secretary for Lambert Framing. Cara enjoyed riding horses and spending time with her family, especially her girls.
Cara passed away on April 30, 2008 as a result of injuries she suffered in an automobile accident in the Bastop area.
Cara Crisler is survived by her spouse, Kevin Harris; one daughter, Marissa Harris, her mother and stepfather, Lynn and Warren Douglas; her father, Donald Crisler; a big sister, Lisa Cheatham and her husband, Darren; a little sister and best friend, Kimberly and her husband Norm Lambert; a big brother, Donny Crisler and Connie; a little brother, Michael Crisler and Michelle; mother-in-law, Louise Harris; father-in-law, Homer Harris; grandmother, Margaret Sherrill; aunt and uncle, Freddie and Geanett Jones; and numerous other relatives and friends. Cara is also survived by best friends, Kristi Wallace and Steven and Allison Santos.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather J.W. Sherrill, and her daughters, Kelsey and Talena who died on April 29, 2008.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, May 4, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evening. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, May 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Second Baptist Church located at 1010 Von Minden Street, La Grange.
Reverend Freddie Jones and Reverend George Gowin will officiate. Interment will be in the Byler Cemetery off of the Old Lockhart Road.
