Brenda Gail Mount, 57, of the Goodrich-Livingston area, passed away unexpectedly on August 17, 2026. She was born on February 15, 1969, in Houston, Texas, to Carolyn Del Dotto.

Brenda was a loving mother, Gigi, sister, and daughter whose greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her three daughters, Amanda (Alan) Cooper, Christina Perkins, and Amy (Chad) Winebrenner; her eight grandchildren, Cayden, Rina, Braylon, Ethan, Cohen, Summer, Ryleigh, and Elijah; her significant other, John “Cowboy” Granfors; her mother and stepfather, Carolyn and John Del Dotto; her brother, Jesse (Cindy) Jackson; and her father Dan (Valerie) Solomon.

She was preceded in death by her adoptive father, Norman Jackson.

Brenda cherished every moment she spent with her grandchildren and loved creating special memories with them. She brought warmth and character wherever she went, leaving behind cherished memories for everyone who knew her. She especially loved the joy, comfort, and magic of Christmas with family, carrying that spirit with her throughout the year. She also had a special love for her cats, which brought her endless happiness and companionship.

Her favorite animal was the elephant because, as Brenda would say, “An elephant never forgets.” Those words carry special meaning now, because Brenda will never be forgotten. Her laughter, love, stories, and the moments she shared with others will remain treasured by her family and friends.

Brenda’s unexpected passing has left a deep and painful emptiness in the lives of all who loved her. Even so, the love she gave continues through her daughters, grandchildren, and everyone whose life she touched. Her memory will live on in the traditions she loved, the music she enjoyed, the Christmas memories she helped create, and the countless moments her family holds dear.

She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed

Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten.

A funeral service to honor Brenda’s life will be held on August 30, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 967 E. Colorado Street, La Grange, TX 78945. Following the service, interment will take place at Weimar Masonic Cemetery, Masonic Cemetery Road, Weimar, TX 78962, beginning at approximately 2:30 p.m.
