Brenda James

Brenda Gail James, 69, of La Grange, Texas, left this life on June 5, 2025. She was born on March 15, 1956, to James P. Jolley and Betty (Reagan) Jolley in Littlefield, Texas.

Brenda moved to La Grange in 1979. Brenda was very involved in the Scouts programs when her children were growing up. Serving as a Cub scout, Boy scout, and Girl scout Leader for all their troops in the 1980's. She was an avid reader and spent much of her free time at the local library. Brenda often referred to herself as a "gypsy" spending lots of time travelling and exploring Texas.

Brenda is survived by her mother, Betty Jolley; son, Garrett James and wife Linda of Bastrop; stepson, Dax James and wife Rhonda of Tarpley; daughter, Misty Touchet of La Grange; grandchildren, Jonathan & Victoria Jones, Michael Jones, Christian James, Emily James, Blake James, Tristan James, and Devin James, as well as numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James P. Jolley; brothers, Randy Jolley and Larry Jolley, and nephew, Colby Jolley
