A visitation for Aletha Anne Lee will be held on April 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange with a funeral service following at 11:00 AM. There are no graveside services scheduled.
Aletha Anne Lee, 76 of La Grange, passed away on April 3, 2024 in Houston, Texas. She was born on April 16, 1947 in Riverside, California to Randolph Crowder and Bonnie Byer. She married Bobby Lee in 1967. Bobby was a proud Army Veteran and prior to his passing, they were happily married for over 35 years.
Aletha loved watching her soap operas, murder mystery shows, and mostly Dancing with the Stars. She loved dogs and left behind her rescue dog, Curly. Aletha was known to many as “Mimi”. She was a very giving, selfless, loving mother and grandmother to not only her family, but to others as well. She loved taking care of children and was always willing to babysit at any time. “Mimi” will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Aletha Lee is survived by one son, Robert Lee of La Grange; one son-in-law, John Stanley; one sister, Cindy Krisch and husband Gary of Kenedy; grandchildren, Nicole Morland, Brittany Thompson, Cassie Lee, Kelsey Scallan, Jeri Anderson and husband Eric, Damien Davis, Jesse Lee, Jewel Lee, Dylan Mueller and husband Kyle Fitch, Brandon Lee and Shane Lee; along with 13 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby; daughter, Stacey Stanley and one sister, Jackie Crowder; and dog, Puddles.
The honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons; Damien Davis, Dylan Mueller, Brandon Lee, Jesse Lee and Shane Lee. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House (donations@rmhc.org) or the Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter in La Grange (240 Svboda Lane, La Grange, Texas 78945).
