Adele Wied, 96, passed away on January 10, 2008 at St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange. Mrs. Wied lived at Monument Hill Nursing Center for a number of years. She was a retired rancher and homemaker and lived most of her life in Fayetteville.
Adele Wied was born on March 14, 1911, the daughter of Ernest and Anna (Roscher) Frank. She married Monroe Wied and they had one daughter, Virginia; and one son, Wayne Wied.
Adele Wied is survived by one daughter, Virginia Schaefer of La Grange; and one son, Wayne Wied and his wife Genelle of Fayetteville. She is survived by two grandchildren , Ken Wied and his wife Christine of Fayetteville; and Ronnie Behrens of La Grange; and one great-granddaughter, Rayna Lauren Wied of Fayetteville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Anna Frank; one sister and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Willie Rotter officiating. Burial will follow in the Florida Chapel Cemetery in Round Top, Texas.
