Memorial Services for Thomas Wade James (Tom), 80, of Ellinger, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 30, 2021 at St. James Episcopal Church in La Grange, Texas.
Tom was born August 31, 1940 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  He later moved to Texas with his family and attended the University of Houston while serving in the United States Air Force.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, William Cook and Mary Francis James.  And later, the love of his life, his wife Beverly James.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Bill & Darlene James of Missouri City, Texas, Bryan & Sandi James of Raleigh, North Carolina; daughter, Jennifer James of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Lynda Lamprecht of Trustville, Alabama; brother and sister-in-law, John & Debbie James of Austin, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Liz & Joe Duncan of Austin, Texas.  Grandchildren, Joshua Wade James, Jacob Thomas James, John William James, Erin Elizabeth James, Emily Lauren James and Aliyah Elizabeth James; great-grand daughter, Josie Elizabeth James.  Last, but not least, his faithful four legged companion, Lucy.
Tom was a devout member of St. James Episcopal Church and the family requests that memorials be made to his parish.
